There will be a Mental Health and Human Services Fair and Career Panel on Wednesday, October 3 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Kopp Student Center Garden Room. The event is sponsored by the Normandale Advising and Counseling Department and Americorps VISTA Student Resource Coordinator.
The Mental Health and Human Services Fair runs from 9 to 11:30 a.m., and will have information tables from various agencies that focus on topics that include mental health counseling, eating disorders, homelessness, food insecurity, family support services, sexual violence, domestic abuse, suicide prevention, chemical abuse and mental illness.
There will also be a Career Panel from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. where agency representatives will talk about the work they do and they training paths they took to get there. This will great for students in careers related to psychology, sociology, human services, and more.
