Student Account Information
Refund checks, financial aid checks, the Hope and Lifelong Learning tax forms, and other important documents are mailed to the student's current home address. For this reason, it is very important that each student updates their address online or at the Registration & Records Office. If you need to update your address, log on to the eServices website. Once logged on, on the left side under Student e-Services, select Account Management, then select Address Info.
Checks returned by the post office are re-mailed once the college receives an updated address from the student. A $30 fee will be assessed to students whose check must be reissued due to an incorrect address.
Students are required to have activated their my.normandale.edu Email account in order to receive notices from the college. You can activate your account by going to here. You may have your Email forwarded to a personal Email account; however, students accept the risk of private data being compromised when forwarded messages over non-secure lines of communication.
Account balance information online
Students can check their account balance online anytime. Log on to the eServices website and enter your 8-digit Minnesota State College & Universities' StarID code and password. Once logged on, select "Bills and Payment" on the left side under Student eServices.
Billing statements are available online. "Balance Due by Term" reflects activity for a specific term while "Full Account Detail" reflects all activity on your student account since 2000. The reports include charges, payments and financial aid posted to your account. Financial Aid which has been awarded and disbursed is listed in the payment section of your statement. The information provided will include amounts from Normandale AND ANY OTHER Minnesota State College & Universities institution you may have attended (as long as your social security number is on file with the other colleges and universities). Normandale Community College does not mail out tuition billing notices. Reminders for payment and past due notices are sent to your Normandale Email account.
For questions regarding any charges and payments posted to your student account, please call the Payments & Billing Office at 952-358-8242 or Email us from your Normandale Email account at PaymentBilling@normandale.edu (be sure to include your Student ID number). Please use your Normandale Email account when asking for your account information. Due to confidentiality laws we cannot send confidential information to accounts such as Yahoo!, Google, etc.
Failure to pay financial obligations
A student who fails to meet financial obligations will not be eligible to register for future semesters. Degrees, official transcripts, and certifications will be withheld until all financial obligations are met.
Please note: parents, spouses, relatives, and friends cannot receive student account information or be permitted to register or drop courses for students without the signed written permission of the student. Student account information can not be faxed due to data privacy laws.
To complete your registration you will be required to accept the following statement:
"By confirming this registration, for any semester, I am accepting any financial and academic obligations incurred as a result of this transaction. Failure to pay will result in my debt being referred to the State of Minnesota collection agency (Minnesota Department of Revenue, Collection Division) or a private collection agency. If this happens, you agree to reimburse us the fees of any collection agency, which may be based on a percentage at a maximum of 40% of the debt, and all costs and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, we incur in such collection efforts.
I also authorize the college or university, and their respective agents and contractors to contact me regarding my debt request, including repayment of my debt, at the current or any future number that I provide for my cellular phone or other wireless device using automated telephone dialing equipment or artificial or pre-recorded voice or text messages."
