Declare your major
The Education Department staff recommends that students identify elementary or special education as their major as soon as they start working toward a teaching degree at Normandale. When students identify the correct major, Normandale's data system automatically keeps track of what courses have been taken in that degree.  Students can run a report from the Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS) at the same site where students check grades and transcripts online. The DARS shows a list of the required courses for that specific major (Education, e.g.,) and shows the requirements you have met and those you still need to meet for the degree. It's another good way to be sure you're on the right road. EdTrAc can help you interpret this information.
