The Health Programs Information Session will take place on Thursday, October 13 at 5 p.m. in room A 2564. This session is designed for students who have an interest in Normandale's Health programs. At this session, faculty, and advisors from Normandale will explain the various programs and assist students with spring course selection and answer questions about the course track and pathway a great career in Health. This is also a wonderful opportunity to connect with other students interested in Health.
Community Health Education Description: Community Health Education is a rewarding field for individuals interested in teaching behaviors and knowledge that will lead to a healthy lifestyle. It is also a field experiencing rapid growth. This is a degree which transfers to a bachelors program to earn a Bachelors in Community Health Education, which is required to work in Community and Public Health organizations.
Community Health Worker - Navigator Description: Community Health Workers - Navigators get the chance to work with programs, or on projects, that impact the health and well-being of the community positively. This is a growing field that is great for people who like to be part of impactful outreach health programs to the community. This is a field which allows you to explore other careers in Allied and Healthcare while working with others on a healthcare team to improve the quality of care for patients.
Healthcare Systems Technology Description: With growth of electronic health records and technology in health care, Healthcare Systems Technology is a high growth field due to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) estimating that there will be a shortage of 51,000 qualified healthcare IT workers within the next five years.
