Normandale Theatre Department Wraps up The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee Performances April 28-30

By Steven Geller - Director of Media and Public Relations

The Normandale Community College Theatre Department performance, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, continues running on April 28-30 in the Premanand Fine Arts Theatre.

The performances are on Thursday, April 28 at 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 29 at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m. The ASL Interpreted show will take place on April 29.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee features an event where six spellers enter, one speller leaves, and the losers get a juice box! The Tony Award-winning musical comedy is the story of six young middle schoolers in the throes of puberty who learn that winning isn't everything and that losing doesn't necessarily make you a loser. This hilarious tale of over-achievers' angst chronicles the experience of these adolescent outsiders as they (and a few lucky audience members) compete for the spelling championship of a lifetime.

Adult admission is $10, while senior/staff/student tickets will be $5. Season tickets are available for a discount. Please call 952-358-8884 to make reservations or email at boxoffice@normandale.edu.
