Normandale hosts Virtual Commencement Ceremony on Wednesday, May 27

Normandale Community College will celebrate its 2020 Graduating Class with a virtual Commencement Ceremony on Wednesday, May 27 at 6:30 p.m.

The virtual ceremony will be livestreamed through Livestream.com and Facebook Live the day of the event. The Livestream feed will have a live chat with Normandale faculty and staff during the ceremony. Go to www.normandale.edu.livestream or www.facebook.com/NormandaleCommunityCollege on the day of the event to find the livestream broadcast of the ceremony.

The ceremony will feature speeches from Student Senate President Joshua Medley, Normandale Alumnus and Vice President of Policy and Clinical Solutions at United Health Group, Cyrus Batheja, and 2019 Distinguished Faculty Award Winner, Matt Dempsey. The 2020 Distinguished Faculty Award Winner will also be named during the event.

Normandale's graduating class includes 11-year old Elliott Tanner, who was featured on local newscasts, Nursing Student Emily Hansen, who was featured in the Bloomington Sun this week for putting together a drive-up Pinning Ceremony for all Nursing graduates last week, several student senators, who helped our Student Senate win an award for voter turnout in 2018 and a group of students who finished third in the Minnesota State Data Derby as the only two-year college in the competition.

This accomplished graduating class ranges in age from 11 to 70 years old. The ceremony will honor graduates from summer 2019, fall 2019 and candidates for spring 2020 graduation.
