Statistics for Business and Economics

Prereq: Eligible for MATH 1100

This course is an introduction and overview of statistics for business and economics.   Topics will include descriptive statistics, probability, sampling methods, confidence intervals, one and two sample tests of hypothesis, analysis of variance, and linear regression.  Emphasis is on application of statistical techniques and procedures for solving business-related problems.  In addition, students will become familiar with some key statistical functions of Microsoft Excel.
