Computer Keyboarding

Recommended: enrollment during first semester at Normandale to apply skills and knowledge in other courses.

Keyboarding skills for students who cannot keyboard by touch. Topics include alphabetic keys, top-row numbers, ten-key pad, common symbols, proofreading. Text processing skills for correspondence (letters, memos and email), and reports. Emphasis on the development of speed to a minimum of 30 words per minute. Students should schedule at least 60 minutes of practice per day.
