Transfer Agreements: Minnesota STATE with MnTC makes it easier.

Normandale Community College is a member of the Minnesota State system. This is a united system of 37 institutions that has created the Minnesota General Education Transfer Curriculum (MnTC).

MnTC establishes a set of college courses and credits designed to transfer to any Minnesota State member, the University of Minnesota plus many private and out of state colleges. Transferring still is not an easy 1-2-3 process but Minnesota State with MnTC makes it easier.

Whether transferring in to Normandale or from Normandale, you'll discover rather quickly it pays to plan ahead. Seek help and advice early on.

Guaranteed Transfer

 The University of Minnesota-Twin Cities has teamed up with the 7 public 2-year campuses in the metro area to offer the The Minnesota Cooperative Admissions Program (MnCAP). 

When you enroll in the MnCAP program, you will be guaranteed transfer admission to one of the participating U of MN colleges/majors when you meet certain conditions.

This is for transfer students who have taken courses at other colleges or universities and are planning on receinving credit for those courses at Normandale.

You must contact and work with the college or university you have chosen to transfer to. They will be able to tell you which courses can be taken at Normandale and which can only be taken where you intend to go.
