Crisis Resources

If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 911.

Crisis Resources
Normandale counselors will make every effort to accommodate your urgent needs. In the case you are unable to reach the Normandale Counseling Department 952-358-8261 or Public Safety 952-358-8280 or it is after hours, please consider the following options in case of emergency:

  • Crisis Text Line: Text MN to 741741
  • National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 800-273-8255
  • COPE - Community Outreach for Psychiatric Emergencies: 612-536-1223. This is the Hennepin County 24-hour crisis line; COPE will send out a professional to assess and determine if hospitalization is needed. For crisis lines in other counties, see crisis resources at our Student Resource Center.
