Online Learning

Learn what you want, where you want. Normandale offers hundreds of credit and non-credit courses online. Pursue a certificate or earn a degree with our flexible and accredited online learning options.

You don't need to be on campus to get an excellent education. Study from your home or office and work around your schedule to complete a degree. All that's required is a reliable internet connection.

You’ll enjoy the same curricula, faculty and financial aid as those attending face-to-face classes. Plus, academic and tech support are available.

How Are Courses Offered?

Alongside in-person classes, we offer online courses in the following formats:

  • Online — Synchronous (100% of instruction is online but some meetings and activities will be synchronous)
  • Online — Asynchronous (100% of instruction is online with no in-person or synchronous meetings and no in-person proctored exams)
  • Hybrid (25% to 75% of instruction is online with regularly scheduled in-person meetings)
  • Mostly Online (More than 75% of instruction is online with up to two possible in-person meetings and up to four proctored exams. Proctored exams not included in in-person meetings may be arranged locally. Course may have online synchronous components)

"With online learning I can continue to get the quality education Normandale offers while being anywhere. This has been a huge help since I live a bit farther away than some from campus. I can still take my classes from home and get all the time I need with tutors and my professors all virtually."
