The Nursing Assistant Certificate course prepares you to assist others with personal care needs and become a caring, compassionate Nursing Assistant .
This certificate course is approved by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and prepares students to take the National Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation Test.
Upon successful completion of the test, you are placed on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry (NA/R).
Employment is primarily in facilities caring for older adults such as long-term care facilities. As a nursing assistant, you’ll provide care under direct supervision of licensed nurses. Your skills will be in high demand, as nursing assistant roles continue to grow along with the aging population.
