New Internal Grant Process for Normandale faculty, staff, and departments!

The Foundation's Board of Directors has approved a new Internal Grant Process.

Faculty, staff, and departments may apply for grants up to $500 to help with non-budgeted expenses.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

DEADLINE:

  • Grant requests received by 4 p.m. on the 1st day of a month will enter that month's grant process.
  • Originators will be notified of their application status no later than the 10th day of the following month.
  • Awarded grant payment will be made within 3 working days of award notification.
  • Applications submitted after the 1st of a month will be entered into the next month's grant process.

LIMITS:

  • $500 maximum requested amount per application.
  • Up to two awarded grants per department per fiscal year.
  • One awarded grant per originator per fiscal year. Three lifetime awarded grants per originator.

PRIORITY GIVEN TO REQUESTS THAT PROVIDE:

  • A benefit to students collectively, rather than a direct benefit of an individual.
  • New or innovative programs, rather than long-term funding obligations.
  • A direct benefit to Normandale Community College as it serves its students and their families.
