Q1: Do I need to have radiographs for my dental appointment?

A1: Yes, all patients should have current radiographs sent from their most recent dental visit. New radiographs will be prescribed and taken at our clinic if they are needed.

Q2: How long does a dental hygiene appointment take?

A2: Appointments may last from 2.5 to 3.5 hours. It depends on what services are provided. Keep in mind that patients may have to be rescheduled to complete treatment.

Q3: Will all of my treatment be completed in one appointment?

A3: Treatment times are dependent upon the patient's individual care plan. Patients may need to be rescheduled.

Q4: Does the Dental Clinic provide extractions?

A4 No, the dental hygiene clinic does not provide this procedure but patients would be referred to appropriate clinics.

Q5: Does the Dental Clinic provide restorations?

A5: No, the dental hygiene clinic does not provide this procedure but patients can be referred to Metropolitan State's ADT students and clinic.

Q6: Does the Dental Clinic take insurance for payment?

A6: No, the clinic does not take insurance. Payment is through cash, check, VISA, Mastercard or Discover Card.

Q7: Does a cleaning appointment include a dental exam by a dentist?

A7: The appointment does not include a dental exam by a dentist. All patients are referred to their personal dentist. If a patient does not have a dentist they will be referred to other low-cost dental clinics or a dentist near the patient's residence.

Q8: What happens to my radiographs after they are taken?

A8: Radiographs will be sent to the patient's dentist for diagnosis.
