This website has been created by the Economics faculty at Normandale Community College for the benefit of our students--past, present, and future.

A four-year degree in economics or applied economics is useful training for a career in business or government. It's also good preparation for graduate study in economics, business administration, public administration, public policy or law school.

  • Begin specific liberal arts classes for the intended transfer student or complete the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum and/or complete the Associate of Arts degree

Economics is a social science within the liberal arts curriculum. The mission of the Normandale Economics department is to provide our students with:

  • A workable understanding of economic and personal financial concepts and principles that will enable them to make informed judgments and effective decisions in their personal, professional, and civic lives.
  • A foundation for further study in economics, business, accounting, and other professional and liberal arts areas.
