EAP Class at Normandale

What are EAP courses?

English for Academic Purposes (EAP) helps non-native students prepare for the many English language demands of their future academic career here at Normandale and beyond.

Lack of English skills will not be a barrier to admission or participation.

Placement Testing

Each student is assessed for their ability to participate and benefit from the EAP program through placement testing and counseling.

The placement tests ensure accurate entry to appropriate course levels and help determine whether strengthening your English language skills is necessary for success in your courses.

There are 3 skill sets in EAP:

  1. Writing/Grammar
  2. Reading
  3. Speaking/Listening

Your starting course depends on your course readiness assessment results. All courses have prerequisites.
