This health information technology non-credit certificate is offered through Continuing Education and Customized Training. The curriculum prepares individuals with the essential knowledge necessary for launching or advancing their career in this growing industry. Topics range from healthcare systems, workflow management and design, leadership and organizational change to business issues and emerging technologies. The demand for health IT professionals is expected to grow 22% by 2022. Strong industry relationships with healthcare systems, hospitals, vendors and government agencies to ensure that the program is relevant to the evolving health IT industry. Over 700 individuals have been trained through the MNHIT program since 2009.

The MNHIT program does not provide job placement services, however we do offer students several resources to assist them with their career advancement. CareerHITrac, practicum opportunities and job postings are some of those resources.
