Normandale Community College and ReSound are proud to announce the joint acceptance of a 3-year Minnesota Job Skills Partnership (MJSP) training grant valued at $348,481.
ReSound, which is headquartered in Bloomington, Minnesota and part of GN ReSound, is one of the world's largest providers of hearing instruments and diagnostic and audiological instrumentation.
Normandale will be working with ReSound (who employs 500 individuals) to develop courses that will allow the organization to take advantage of an opportunity to grow its presence in the customized device market. The program will also result in more efficient future releases, leading to greater profitability and job growth.
Because this grant represents a huge learning initiative, the first group of courses will focus on preparing the organization to learn. This foundation will set the stage for the next phase, which will help the organization develop customized processes and listen for voice of the customer in a more strategic manner. The final phase is designed to help ReSound sustain the learning by preparing mentors, coaches, and trainers within the organization.
"We are especially excited to work with a company like ReSound because of our shared commitment to employee development," said Jeff Hudson, Normandale Community College Program Director, Continuing Education and Customized Training. "We look forward to the grant, but also to a long and sustained partnership."
