By Steven Geller - Director of Media and Public Relations

The 4th Annual Financial Literacy Event will be held from 9:30 to 10:50 a.m. in the Kopp Student Center Garden Room on Thursday, April 21.

This year's speaker will be Mike Vraa from HOME Line, a renter's rights agency. Vraa's presentation will be on renter's issues. A legal expert in landlord/tenant law, Vraa will discuss renter's legal rights, what landlords are looking for in a tenant, and what to do if you have issues with your landlord.

Patrick Furlong will also speak at the event from 12:30 to 1:50 p.m. Furlong is a Private Wealth Advisor with Ameriprise.  His presentation will be on dollar cost averaging, saving and budgeting. Furlong helps his clients achieve their dreams for today, tomorrow, and well into the future. That process starts with a personalized conversation about covering essentials, ensuring lifestyle, preparing for the unexpected and leaving a legacy. By breaking financial goals down into doable steps, he helps take the uncertainty out of planning for your financial future.
